On June 19, 2010,  we will be hosting a Creutzfeldt–Jakob Disease (CJD) research benefit with members of Simple Jim at Captain's Cove in Bridgeport, CT ...

It has been almost two years since our friend Mike Vitanza lost his brother Bob to the sporadic form of CJD. Bob was a selfless role model who often put others before himself in making a positive impact on this world.  With some help from a few friends, we are coordinating a drive to raise money for CJD research. This year’s fund raising drive will culminate in the benefit event in Bob’s honor on June 19th (see details below). We hope you can attend this celebration of his life.

For those unable to attend, please consider making a tax-deductible donation in Bob Vitanza's name directly to the CJD Foundation  (http://www.cjdfoundation.org/donations.html).  Last year, thanks to the extreme generosity of many, we were able to raise $15K in Bob’s memory.  This year we are hopeful to reach our goal of $20K.  Any contribution would be greatly appreciated and will be used to help find a cure for this disease.

Thanks again for all of your support and hope to see you at Captain's Cove!
